Company information and the full WayuGo document set
Effective 2 September 2026
This page indexes every legal, safety, and policy document that governs your use of WayuGo, together with our company and regulatory details. Where documents overlap, the more specific document controls on that subject — for example, the Service Agreement controls over the general Terms & Conditions on matters specific to acting as a Captain.
Article 1 — Company information
1.1
Colloc Limited, trading as WayuGo, is a company registered in England and Wales.
1.2
Colloc Limited is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller under registration reference ZC218365.
1.3
Regulatory status. WayuGo is not a licensed taxi operator, private hire vehicle (PHV) operator, or public transport operator, and is not regulated as such. See the Terms & Conditions, Article 4, for what this means for the service.
1.4
Correspondence: hello@mywayugo.com for data protection, support, and all other matters.
Article 2 — Document set
2.1
Privacy Policy. How we collect, use, and share your personal data, and your rights over it.
2.2
Terms & Conditions. The binding agreement governing your use of the Platform as a User, whether Rider or Captain.
2.3
Service Agreement for Captains. Additional binding terms specific to operating as a Captain, including the commercial relationship between you and WayuGo.
2.4
Trust & Safety Policy. What WayuGo does and does not verify, and the safety practices we recommend.
2.5
Community Guidelines. Expected standards of conduct between Users, and what happens when they aren't met.
2.6
Insurance Information. The insurance position for Riders and Captains, and why WayuGo does not provide or arrange cover.
2.7
Security Policy. How we protect the Platform and your account, and your own responsibilities.
2.8
Complaints Procedure. How to raise a complaint about WayuGo's own conduct or a decision we've made, and how it's handled.
2.9
Accessibility Statement. What we currently support for users of assistive technology, and how to tell us what isn't working.
Article 3 — Precedence
3.1
If a specific document conflicts with a more general one on the same point, the more specific document controls — for example, the Service Agreement's payment terms control over anything general said about payment in the Terms & Conditions.
3.2
If any provision in any document is found unenforceable under the law of England and Wales, the remainder of that document continues to apply, and the remaining documents are unaffected.
Privacy Policy
Effective 13 August 2026
This Policy explains what personal data WayuGo collects, why we collect it, who else on the Platform can see it, and what control you have over it. It is written to stand on its own, but capitalised terms not defined in this Policy have the meaning given in Article 2, and it should be read alongside the Terms & Conditions and the Trust & Safety Policy, which cover related ground from the angle of what WayuGo does and doesn't verify about other Users, rather than what data WayuGo itself holds. WayuGo is currently a prototype ahead of public launch; where that materially affects a data flow described below — for example, because a flow is simulated for testing — this Policy says so at that point rather than leaving you to guess.
Article 1 — Introduction and scope
1.1
This Policy applies to the WayuGo mobile application, on whichever platform you use it. It does not apply to third-party apps you may be taken to from within WayuGo — for example, your chosen maps app for turn-by-turn navigation once a Ride has started — which have their own, separate privacy policies that are not controlled by us and that we'd encourage you to read if you're concerned about what they do with your data.
1.2
Colloc Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this Policy — the entity legally responsible for deciding why and how your data is processed. See the Legal page, Article 1, for our full company and regulatory details, including our ICO registration reference.
Article 2 — Definitions
2.1
“WayuGo”, “we”, “us”, “our”. means Colloc Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as WayuGo, registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under registration reference ZC218365.
2.2
“Platform”. means the WayuGo mobile application and the backend services that support it.
2.3
“User”, “you”. means any person who holds a WayuGo account, whether acting as a Rider, a Captain, or both.
2.4
“Rider”. means a User who requests, joins, or is approved into a Ride as a passenger.
2.5
“Captain”. means a User who has activated a Captain profile and offers, drives, or coordinates a Ride.
2.6
“Ride”. means any journey arranged through the Platform, including a Carpool ride-group journey, a one-off Day Trip, or a Hire arrangement, and includes the period from an approved booking until the journey concludes or is cancelled.
2.7
“Ride Group”. means the set of Users — one Captain and one or more Riders — matched together for a specific Ride.
2.8
“Buddy Group”. means a set of Users who have mutually connected as Buddies within the Platform, independent of any specific Ride.
2.9
“Fare”. means the cost-sharing or hire amount agreed between a Captain and Rider(s) for a Ride, arranged and settled directly between them outside the Platform.
2.10
“Content”. means any text, message, rating, report, image, or other material a User submits to the Platform.
2.11
“Verification”. means the limited email-address and UK mobile-number confirmation described in Article 5 of the Trust & Safety Policy, and expressly excludes any check of identity documents, driving licence, criminal record, vehicle roadworthiness, or insurance.
Article 3 — Data we collect
3.1
Account data. First and last name, email address, UK mobile number, optional date of birth, and your chosen photo or emoji avatar. This is the baseline data every account needs to function — to identify you to other Users, to let us contact you about your own account, and to confirm you meet the age requirement in Article 9.
3.2
Ride activity data. Pickup and drop-off postcodes and addresses, booking dates and times, Ride Group and Day Trip request and bid history, Buddy Group membership, messages sent within a Ride Group or Buddy Group, and ratings given or received. This is the data that makes the coordination side of the Platform work — without it, matching, messaging, and rating simply couldn't happen.
(a)
UK postcode text is sent to our backend and Postcodes.io to return matching postcode units and map coordinates; the app may contact Postcodes.io directly only if our proxy is unavailable. Place/address completion may also use Apple's on-device MapKit services. Postcodes.io receives the postcode characters being searched and normal network information, but no WayuGo account identifier.
3.3
Captain data. Where you activate a Captain profile, you provide a vehicle registration. At your request, WayuGo sends that registration to the DVSA MOT History API to prefill available make, model, fuel type, primary colour, manufacture-year, and current MOT information. We store the registration, make, model, fuel type, and primary colour that you confirm so Riders can recognise the expected vehicle; MOT history returned for the lookup is not stored in your WayuGo profile.
(a)
This lookup does not establish who owns or keeps the vehicle, whether you are licensed or insured to drive it, or whether it remains roadworthy after the lookup. WayuGo does not collect or verify a driving licence, insurance document, MOT certificate, or identity document beyond the account Verification in Article 2.11. See the Trust & Safety Policy, Article 1, and the Insurance Information document.
3.4
Device permission data. Each permission below is requested separately by your device's operating system, at the point it's actually needed rather than all at once on first launch, and is withdrawable at any time in Settings without needing to contact us.
(a)
One-off location access, used to suggest your city automatically so you don't have to type it in yourself.
(b)
Continuous location while you are an active Captain on a Ride, shown only to Riders on that specific, mutually-approved Ride — never to any other User, and never once the Ride has ended.
(c)
Bluetooth proximity signals, used solely to detect pickup and drop-off arrival, so the app can confirm a handoff automatically rather than relying on either party to tap a button.
(d)
Photo-library access, used only when you choose a profile image or optional Captain document; you can grant access to selected photos rather than your whole library.
(e)
Camera access, used only when you explicitly choose to take a new profile photo or optional Captain document inside WayuGo.
(f)
Notification permission, used for booking requests, messages, arrival updates, safety alerts, and other activity relating to your own account and journeys.
3.5
We do not collect payment card or bank details of any kind — WayuGo does not process Fares (Article 9 of the Terms & Conditions), so there is nothing of that nature for us to collect. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs and do not collect advertising IDs or cross-app activity. Our own backend records limited security and operational events (for example, account, booking, and message actions, request timing, and error status) so we can prevent abuse and diagnose failures; these records are not used for advertising.
3.6
Communications. WayuGo sends two kinds of message. Transactional messages — booking confirmations, messages from other Users, and safety or security alerts — are necessary to operate the Platform (Article 4.1) and cannot be turned off individually while your account is active, because each one corresponds to something that actually happened on your account. Optional notification categories can be switched on or off individually in Settings at any time. We do not send marketing messages of any kind, and there is accordingly no marketing consent to opt out of — we simply don't do it.
Article 4 — Purposes and legal basis for processing
4.1
Contractual necessity. We process account and Ride activity data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you: creating and securing your account, matching you with nearby Captains or Riders within your selected city, operating ratings, reporting, and blocking, and sending you notifications about your own bookings and requests. Without processing this data for these purposes, we simply couldn't provide the service you signed up for.
4.2
Consent. We process location, Bluetooth, chosen photos, camera captures, and notification delivery on the basis of the explicit choice you make through your device's permission controls. You can withdraw that choice at any time in Settings with immediate effect — withdrawing it may mean the feature that depends on it stops working, but nothing else about your account is affected.
4.3
Legitimate interest. Where we rely on legitimate interest — for example, reviewing a report to keep the Platform trustworthy for everyone, or investigating suspected fraud under the Terms & Conditions, Article 10 — we balance that interest against your rights and process only what is proportionate to the specific concern being looked into, not your account's data more broadly.
4.4
We do not use your personal data to target advertising, and do not sell, rent, or otherwise trade it to any third party for their own marketing purposes. WayuGo may display manually selected promotional cards based on the app page, city and campaign dates. They are not selected using a personal profile, advertising identifier, cross-app activity, or an advertising network. A business can send WayuGo a promotion inquiry; the contact details it deliberately submits are used only to respond to that inquiry and administer any separately agreed campaign. Before any promotion is published, WayuGo manually reviews the business identity, authenticity, proposed claims, safety and suitability. An inquiry has no price, checkout, automatic publication or digital entitlement and unlocks nothing in the consumer app.
Article 5 — Disclosure to other Users
5.1
WayuGo is a peer-to-peer Platform, not an anonymous intermediary — the whole point of the service is connecting you with another person to travel with, which necessarily means some of your information becomes visible to them. As necessary to arrange and complete a Ride, the following disclosures occur between Users, and only these — nothing beyond what's listed here is shared with another User without your own separate choice to share it:
(a)
Before a Captain approves a request, they see the requesting Rider's name, avatar, rating, and an approximate pickup area (street name and postcode, not the exact address) — enough to decide whether to accept, not enough to identify exactly where you live before they've agreed to the Ride.
(b)
Once a Rider is approved, the Captain sees the Rider's full pickup address and phone number — information they now genuinely need to actually complete the pickup.
(c)
While a Ride is active, live location is visible only to the other members of that specific, mutually-approved Ride Group — never broadcast to the wider Platform or to Users outside that Ride, and never retained as a location history once the Ride ends.
(d)
Ride Group members see each other's names, avatars, and messages posted in that group's shared chat, for the duration of that group's existence.
(e)
Buddy Group members see each other's names and avatars, and — only while genuinely travelling together on a shared Ride — each other's live location. Buddy Group membership alone does not expose a member's separate Ride activity to the rest of the group; joining a Buddy Group with someone does not let them see rides you take without them.
5.2
Content you choose to type into an in-app chat is visible to the other participants in that conversation and, where relevant to a report, to us for moderation purposes described in the Terms & Conditions, Article 15.1. You are solely responsible for anything you choose to share with another User beyond what the Platform itself discloses under Article 5.1 — for example, if you give another User your address or personal number outside the app, or add them on a separate social platform, that exchange is between you and them and is not something WayuGo controls, monitors, or is responsible for.
Article 6 — Third-party processors
6.1
We use a limited number of infrastructure providers to operate the Platform: OVHcloud hosts our API, routing service, and PostgreSQL application database; encrypted database backups are stored with MEGA; Firebase supports a subset of authentication flows; Apple and Google provide their respective sign-in services; Apple Push Notification service delivers device notifications and Live Activities; ClickSend supports SMS verification; Postcodes.io supplies UK postcode matches; Apple's MapKit supports place completion and navigation hand-off; and the DVSA MOT History API supplies vehicle details only when a Captain requests a lookup.
6.2
We do not permit these providers to use your data for any purpose beyond providing their service to us, and we only use providers offering appropriate contractual safeguards — none of them are free to repurpose your data for their own products or for anyone else's.
Article 7 — International data transfers
7.1
Most Ride activity data is currently stored locally on your device rather than centrally, which limits how much crosses any border at all. Where our backend infrastructure does process data outside the UK, we use providers offering appropriate safeguards for that transfer, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or an applicable adequacy finding, so your data stays protected to a UK-equivalent standard wherever it's actually processed.
Article 8 — Retention, security, and automated decisions
8.1
Retention. When you request account deletion, the account enters a 14-day recovery period. You cannot use the account normally during that period, and your email, phone number, username, and WayuGo ID remain reserved so they cannot be used to create a second account. If you sign in during the recovery period, WayuGo asks whether you want to keep the account; deletion is cancelled only when you choose Keep account. At the end of 14 days, profile, contact, buddy, message, request, and other account-linked personal data is deleted. A completed journey shared with other Users may remain only as an anonymised journey record, no longer linked to your name or contact details, where needed to keep those Users' own history coherent or meet a legal obligation. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data from your device but does not itself request backend deletion.
8.2
Security. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including transport encryption for network requests between the app and our backend. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security no matter how careful we are; keep your device passcode and WayuGo PIN or Face ID confidential, since they're the other half of that security. See the Security Policy for the fuller technical detail.
8.3
Automated decision-making. WayuGo does not use your data to make any decision about you that is fully automated and has a legal or similarly significant effect — including a decision to suspend or terminate your account, which is always made by a person, never by an algorithm alone. Ride matching surfaces options for you to choose from; it does not book a Ride on your behalf without your own action to confirm it. See the Terms & Conditions, Article 15.2.
Article 9 — Children
9.1
WayuGo is not intended for, and must not be used by, anyone under 18. Both driving and coordinating cost-shared journeys require adult legal capacity in the UK, and our Trust & Safety Policy — including the safety practices it recommends — assumes an adult User base throughout. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
Article 10 — Your rights
10.1
Access. You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and confirmation of how we use it.
10.2
Rectification. You can ask us to correct any personal data we hold about you that's inaccurate or incomplete.
10.3
Erasure. You can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to Article 8.1 — we may need to keep some data for a legal or dispute-handling reason even after you ask.
10.4
Restriction and objection. You can ask us to stop or limit a specific processing activity, or object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 4.3).
10.5
Portability. Where we process your data by consent or under contract, you can ask to receive it in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format.
10.6
Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent — including location, Bluetooth, photo-library, camera, and notification access under Article 4.2 — you can withdraw it at any time in Settings, with immediate effect going forward.
10.7
Email hello@mywayugo.com to exercise any right under Articles 10.1–10.6 in respect of backend-held data. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) at any time, though we would appreciate the opportunity to resolve your concern directly first — see the Complaints Procedure.
Article 11 — Cookies and tracking
11.1
WayuGo is a native application, not a website; browser cookies in the conventional sense do not apply to how it works. We do not embed third-party advertising or tracking technology of any kind, and there is no cookie-consent banner in the app because there is nothing for one to disclose.
Article 12 — Changes and contact
12.1
We will update the effective date above whenever this Policy changes and post a notice in-app for material changes, so you're not expected to check back speculatively. Continued use of WayuGo after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy; if you don't agree with a change, your option is to stop using the Platform and delete your account under the Terms & Conditions, Article 15.3.
12.2
Questions about this Policy, your data, or general support: hello@mywayugo.com.
Terms & Conditions
Applies to every User — read the Service Agreement too if you act as a Captain
Effective 13 August 2026
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and WayuGo — Colloc Limited, trading as WayuGo (Article 2.1). They govern every use of the Platform, whether you're a Rider looking for a lift, a Captain offering one, or both. By creating an account, browsing Rides, or using any part of the Platform, you accept these Terms in full, along with the Privacy Policy and the Trust & Safety Policy, which are incorporated into this agreement by reference. If you act as a Captain, the Service Agreement for Captains applies to you in addition to these Terms and controls on any point where the two conflict (Legal, Article 3.1). Read Article 6 (“No verification of Captains, vehicles, or insurance”) and Articles 13–15 (warranty, liability, indemnity) particularly carefully before you rely on the Platform for a real journey — they describe important, genuine limits on what WayuGo does and does not take responsibility for, and understanding them is part of what you're agreeing to.
Article 1 — Acceptance and beta status
1.1
By downloading, registering for, or using WayuGo, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Trust & Safety Policy, and that you meet the eligibility requirements in Article 3. "Using the Platform" includes browsing Rides as a signed-in User, posting or requesting a Ride, exchanging messages with another User, and activating a Captain profile — not only completing a booking. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform, and should delete your account under Article 15.3 if you have already created one.
1.2
WayuGo is currently a prototype ahead of public launch. This has practical consequences you should understand before relying on it: features described elsewhere in-app may change or be removed without notice; and the service, including your account data, may be interrupted, reset, or reconfigured during this period without the notice period we would otherwise give under Article 16.1. This clause, and the beta-specific limitations it describes, will be removed from these Terms once WayuGo reaches public launch.
Article 3 — Eligibility and your account
3.1
You must be 18 or older and hold a valid UK mobile number to register as a User. We rely on your own confirmation of your age when you register (Article 1.1) — WayuGo does not independently verify age beyond the limited Verification in Article 2.11, so if you register while under 18 in breach of this Article, that is a breach of these Terms in itself, separate from anything else you might do on the Platform.
3.2
If you activate a Captain profile, the eligibility and licensing requirements of the Service Agreement for Captains — a valid UK driving licence, appropriate motor insurance, and a roadworthy vehicle — apply in addition to this Article, not instead of it. Meeting the general User eligibility in this Article 3 does not by itself make you eligible to act as a Captain.
3.3
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials — including your PIN, Face ID enrolment, and the device you're signed in on — confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you personally carried it out. This includes activity by someone else who gains access to your unlocked, signed-in device. Notify hello@mywayugo.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account, lose the device your account is signed in on, or believe your credentials have otherwise been compromised, so we can help secure your account.
3.4
Communications. By creating an account you agree to receive the communications necessary to operate the Platform — booking confirmations, messages from other Users, and safety or security alerts — by push notification, SMS, or email, depending on the channel each feature uses. These are transactional communications necessary to the service, not marketing, and cannot be switched off individually while your account is active, though you can always delete your account under Article 15.3 to stop them entirely. You separately choose which optional, non-essential notification categories to receive in Settings; see the Privacy Policy, Article 3.6, for the full breakdown of mandatory versus optional notifications.
Article 4 — Nature of the service
4.1
WayuGo operates the Platform to help Users arrange shared or hired journeys with each other. It is a cost-sharing carpool and Day Trip coordination marketplace: WayuGo's role begins and ends at matching Users who want to travel together and giving them the tools — messaging, live location, ratings — to coordinate that journey. WayuGo does not select, dispatch, schedule, or supervise any specific journey; every Ride exists because a Captain chose to offer it and a Rider chose to request it.
4.2
WayuGo is not a licensed taxi operator, private hire vehicle (PHV/minicab) operator, or public transport operator, and does not itself provide transport of any kind. WayuGo does not own, lease, or operate any vehicle used on the Platform, does not employ or engage any Captain to drive, and is not regulated as a transport provider by any licensing authority. See the Legal page, Article 1.3, for our full regulatory position.
4.3
Captains are private individuals sharing a journey they are already making, or offering a one-off lift — not professional drivers-for-hire engaged, employed, or supervised by WayuGo. A Captain decides independently, without direction from WayuGo, whether to offer a Ride at all, which Riders to accept, what route to take, and what Fare to request within the limits of Article 8 and the Service Agreement, Article 4.4.
4.4
WayuGo is not a party to the transport itself. The agreement to travel together, and any cost-sharing arrangement that comes with it, is solely between the Riders and the Captain on that Ride — a private arrangement between those Users that WayuGo facilitates but does not join, guarantee, insure, or enforce beyond what these Terms expressly say WayuGo will do (such as operating the reporting mechanism in Article 15.1).
Article 5 — Data sharing between Users
5.1
By using WayuGo you acknowledge and agree that, as necessary to arrange and complete a Ride, the disclosures described in the Privacy Policy, Article 5 — including a Captain seeing your pickup address and phone number once they approve you, and Ride Group members seeing each other's names and live location — will occur, and you consent to that sharing as a condition of using the Platform. If you are not comfortable with a disclosure described there, the Platform may not be right for you, since these disclosures are necessary for the coordination the service exists to provide.
Article 6 — No verification of Captains, vehicles, or insurance
6.1
THIS ARTICLE IS IMPORTANT AND YOU SHOULD READ IT IN FULL BEFORE USING THE PLATFORM. It sets out, plainly and without qualification, what WayuGo does not check about the people you may travel with — because getting this wrong, or assuming WayuGo checks more than it does, is the single biggest risk of misunderstanding these Terms.
6.2
WayuGo performs only the limited Verification defined in Article 2.11 of these Terms — confirmation that a Captain controls the email address and UK mobile number on their account. That is the entire extent of it. WayuGo does not verify, investigate, or make any representation or warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, about:
(a)
any Captain's identity beyond that limited Verification — we do not check passports, driving licences, or any other identity document;
(b)
any Captain's driving licence, whether it is valid or has ever been valid, their driving history, penalty points, or criminal record;
(c)
vehicle ownership, the Captain's authority to use it, or its ongoing roadworthiness. A registration lookup may prefill vehicle and current MOT information from DVSA when the Captain creates or edits a profile, but this is a point-in-time data lookup rather than an ownership, identity, insurance, or continuous roadworthiness check; or
(d)
the existence, validity, or adequacy of any insurance cover held by a Captain for the vehicle or the journey.
6.3
WayuGo does not conduct DBS (criminal record) checks on any User, Rider or Captain, at signup or at any later time, and has no visibility into whether any User has a criminal record of any kind.
6.4
IT IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY, AND YOURS ALONE, TO SATISFY YOURSELF ABOUT A CAPTAIN'S FITNESS TO DRIVE, THEIR VEHICLE, AND THEIR INSURANCE BEFORE TRAVELLING WITH THEM. This applies every time, not only the first time you travel with a particular Captain. WayuGo accepts no responsibility and no liability for your decision to do so or not to do so, or for the consequences of that decision either way. See the Insurance Information document and the Trust & Safety Policy, Article 2, for the practical steps we recommend you take yourself, including asking to see a Captain's licence and insurance directly.
6.5
You engage with other Users, and specifically with Captains, entirely on the basis of your own judgement and entirely at your own risk. Nothing on the Platform — including a User's rating, a completed-Ride count, or any label or badge shown against their profile — is a substitute for your own judgement, and none of it should be read as WayuGo vouching for that User beyond the limited Verification described in Article 6.2.
Article 7 — Rider responsibilities
7.1
Give accurate pickup and drop-off details when you request or book a Ride, and be ready at the agreed time and place — a Captain who arrives to an inaccurate address or an absent Rider has wasted a real journey.
7.2
Wear a seatbelt for the whole journey, in every seat that has one, in line with UK law.
7.3
Treat your Captain and fellow Riders respectfully, in line with the Community Guidelines, for the whole of your interaction with them — before, during, and after the Ride, not only while in the vehicle.
7.4
Satisfy yourself, applying Article 6, that a journey is safe to take before you get in the vehicle. This is a responsibility you hold for every Ride, and WayuGo's matching you with a Captain is not a signal that this step can be skipped.
7.5
Respect the Captain's vehicle and leave it as clean as you found it — it is usually the Captain's personal vehicle, not a commercial one, and treating it accordingly is part of the basic courtesy this arrangement depends on.
7.6
If you're running late or need to cancel, tell your Captain as soon as you know — don't leave them waiting without word. See Article 9.2 for what repeated failures to do this may mean for your account.
7.7
Do not bring anything unlawful, hazardous, or likely to disturb the Captain's driving into the vehicle — including weapons, illegal drugs, or an unrestrained animal that could distract the driver. This is for the Captain's safety and everyone else's in the vehicle, and a breach of it is also prohibited conduct under Article 10.1(f).
7.8
Be reachable on the phone number registered to your account, especially around the agreed pickup time, so your Captain can reach you if something changes at their end.
Article 8 — Fares and payment
8.1
WayuGo does not process payments and takes no commission today, on any Ride, from either a Rider or a Captain. Any amount shown in-app is a cost-sharing Fare set by the Captain, or negotiated directly between Captain and Rider for a Day Trip, and is arranged and settled directly between those Users, entirely outside the Platform — WayuGo has no payment infrastructure in the app at all, and no visibility into how or whether a given Fare was actually paid.
8.2
WayuGo is not a party to, and has no liability in connection with, any payment dispute between Users — including a dispute over whether a Fare was paid, paid in full, or paid on time. Because the payment itself happens entirely outside the Platform, WayuGo has no record of it and no mechanism to resolve a dispute about it; that is a matter between the Users involved.
Article 9 — Bookings and cancellations
9.1
A request becomes a booking only once the Captain approves it — or, for an open demand post, once the requesting Rider approves a Captain's offer. Until that approval happens, nothing is booked and neither User should treat the journey as confirmed.
9.2
Cancel as early as possible if your plans change, for either a Rider or a Captain. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows — by either side — may affect your ability to book with the same User again, and a pattern of them may be grounds for account review under Article 15.2, since it undermines the reliability the whole Platform depends on.
9.3
Ratings. After a Ride, Riders and Captains may rate each other. Ratings are shown to other Users as an average score, not as individual reviews attributed to a specific Ride, so a single bad interaction does not permanently and visibly follow a User the way an individually-published review would. Rate honestly, based on your own experience of that Ride — submitting a false or retaliatory rating is prohibited conduct under Article 10.1(c), and undermines the reason ratings exist at all: to help other Users make an informed choice under Article 6.5.
Article 10 — Prohibited conduct
10.1
You must not:
(a)
harass, threaten, or discriminate against another User;
(b)
drive unsafely or while impaired;
(c)
commit fraud or provide false information, including a false name, fake vehicle details, or manipulated ratings;
(d)
use WayuGo to run a for-profit taxi service dressed up as cost-sharing, which is not permitted under these Terms and may also be unlawful without the relevant PHV licensing;
(e)
attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security;
(f)
use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
(g)
create or operate more than one account, or use another User's account without their permission;
(h)
attempt to rejoin the Platform under a new account after a suspension or termination, without our agreement;
(i)
use a bot, scraper, or other automated means to access, monitor, or interact with the Platform;
(j)
record another User by audio or video without their knowledge, where doing so would be unlawful;
(k)
misuse the reporting or blocking function to harass another User or to gain an unfair advantage over them;
(l)
use the Platform to advertise or solicit unrelated commercial services to other Users; or
(m)
harvest, scrape, or otherwise collect information about other Users beyond what the Platform itself shows you.
10.2
This list is not exhaustive — WayuGo may treat other conduct as a breach of these Terms if it genuinely undermines the safety, trust, or lawful operation of the Platform, even if not spelled out above. See the Community Guidelines for the full standard of conduct expected between Users, including how a breach here is investigated and enforced.
Article 11 — Disclaimer of warranties
11.1
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. This means we do not promise the Platform will be free of bugs, will always be available when you want to use it, or will always match you with a Ride when one exists — only that we operate it in good faith.
11.2
WE DO NOT WARRANT THE IDENTITY, CONDUCT, DRIVING ABILITY, OR TRUSTWORTHINESS OF ANY USER, NOR THE AVAILABILITY OR QUALITY OF ANY RIDE ARRANGED THROUGH THE PLATFORM. This follows directly from Article 6: because WayuGo does not verify these things, it cannot and does not warrant them.
11.3
Nothing in this Article excludes or limits any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of England and Wales — this Article claims no more than the law allows a platform like WayuGo to disclaim.
11.4
Third-party services. The Platform links to or integrates with services WayuGo does not control — including your chosen navigation app for turn-by-turn directions. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party service, and your use of it is governed by that provider's own terms, not these Terms.
Article 12 — Limitation of liability
12.1
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: WayuGo is a coordination Platform only and is not liable for the acts, omissions, driving, or conduct of any User, including any Captain or Rider you are matched with. This is the direct consequence of Article 4.4 — WayuGo is not a party to the transport, so it does not carry legal responsibility for how that transport is actually carried out.
12.2
WayuGo is not liable for any accident, injury, death, loss, theft, or damage arising from or connected to a Ride, meeting, or interaction arranged through the Platform, whether that Ride actually took place or not — for example, an incident during a meeting arranged via the Platform that never turns into a booked Ride is still covered by this Article.
12.3
WayuGo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of data, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from service interruption, even if we had been advised of the possibility of such loss occurring.
12.4
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us. Articles 12.1 through 12.3 apply only to the extent the law permits; where it does not, this Article 12.4 controls.
Article 13 — Assumption of risk and indemnity
13.1
You acknowledge that arranging or accepting a lift with someone you have not previously met carries inherent risk that WayuGo cannot eliminate given the Verification limits in Article 6, and you voluntarily assume that risk by using the Platform. This is true of every Ride, not only your first one with a given Captain or Rider.
13.2
You agree to indemnify and hold WayuGo harmless from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal costs, arising from your breach of these Terms, your failure to hold a valid licence, MOT, or insurance where required, your driving or conduct, or your use of the Platform in violation of applicable law. In practical terms, this means that if your own actions cause WayuGo to face a claim or cost, you are responsible for covering that cost — WayuGo should not end up financially worse off because of something you did wrong.
Article 14 — Intellectual property and force majeure
14.1
The WayuGo name, logo, and in-app content and design are our property or used under licence. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use them outside of using the Platform as intended — you may not copy, reproduce, or use WayuGo's branding for your own purposes, including in a way that suggests an affiliation with WayuGo that doesn't exist.
14.2
User content. You retain ownership of any Content you submit to the Platform. By submitting Content, you grant WayuGo a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, store, and display it as necessary to operate the Platform — including showing your name and avatar to matched Users, and reviewing chat content in response to a report under Article 15.1. This licence exists only so the Platform can function as intended; we do not use your Content for any other purpose, including marketing, and the licence ends when the Content is deleted along with your account under Article 15.3, subject to the retention position in the Privacy Policy, Article 8.1.
14.3
WayuGo is not liable for any failure or delay in the Platform's operation caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages of third-party infrastructure we depend on, such as our hosting provider, Firebase, or ClickSend. We will still make reasonable efforts to restore service as soon as we reasonably can.
Article 15 — Reporting, suspension, and termination
15.1
You can report another User from the relevant Ride or Day Trip screen. The report is private: it is sent to WayuGo's moderation inbox and is not shown to the reported User. The two accounts are excluded from future marketplace matches. Reporting does not by itself cancel, leave, or remove anyone from an active booking; those are separate controls so a safety record is never confused with a booking decision. You can track the report's status and any staff response in Profile > Feedback/report. We review repeat or serious reports for account action under the Community Guidelines, including the content standards in that document's Article 1.4.
15.2
We may suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion and without prior notice where we reasonably believe it necessary, for breach of these Terms, repeated credible reports from other Users, or conduct that puts other Users' safety at risk. This decision is made by a person, not by an automated system — see the Privacy Policy, Article 8.3. Suspension pauses your access to the Platform; termination ends your account and, subject to the Privacy Policy, deletes your data.
15.3
You may request deletion at any time directly in the app from Profile > Account > Delete account — no need to contact us or give a reason. The account then enters a 14-day recovery period. Signing in during that period presents a Keep account choice; unless you explicitly choose it, deletion continues. Your identifiers remain reserved during the recovery period and cannot be registered as a new account. At the end of 14 days, WayuGo permanently removes the account and its linked personal data, subject only to anonymised shared journey records or a legal retention obligation described in the Privacy Policy, Article 8.1. You can also request deletion by contacting hello@mywayugo.com. If we suspend or terminate your account instead, and you believe that decision was wrong, see the Complaints Procedure.
Article 16 — General provisions
16.1
Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time; we will update the effective date above and flag material changes in-app. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
16.2
Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Contact hello@mywayugo.com first for any concern; any dispute that cannot be resolved that way is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16.3
Severability and entire agreement. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Trust & Safety Policy, and — for Captains — the Service Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and WayuGo regarding your use of the Platform, superseding any prior agreement on the same subject.
16.4
Contact. Questions about these Terms: hello@mywayugo.com.
16.5
Assignment. You must not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else — your account is personal to you. We may assign, transfer, or subcontract our own rights and obligations under these Terms, including if WayuGo is acquired or restructured, provided that doesn't reduce the protections these Terms give you.
16.6
Waiver. If we don't act on a breach of these Terms straight away, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to act on it later, or on a similar breach in future.
16.7
Notices. We may give you notice under these Terms by email, in-app notification, or a notice posted within the Platform. You may give us notice by email to hello@mywayugo.com.
Service Agreement for Captains
Applies in addition to the general Terms & Conditions
Effective 13 August 2026
Activating a Captain profile brings the additional terms below into play, on top of — not instead of — the general Terms & Conditions. Where the two conflict on a point specific to being a Captain, this Agreement controls (Legal, Article 3.1). It sets out the nature of your relationship with WayuGo, what you need to meet before you drive, and the commercial and conduct rules that come with offering a Ride. Capitalised terms carry the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions, Article 2.
Article 1 — Nature of the relationship
1.1
By activating a Captain profile, you confirm you are acting as an independent individual sharing or offering a journey, not as an employee, worker, partner, or agent of WayuGo — the relationship is closer to a private arrangement WayuGo helps you make than a job WayuGo gives you.
1.2
This Agreement does not create, and must not be construed as creating, any employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and WayuGo, regardless of how frequently you drive or how much of your time it takes up. You are solely responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, and any other statutory obligations arising from acting as a Captain — WayuGo does not withhold or account for any of this on your behalf.
1.3
WayuGo does not direct, supervise, or control how, when, or whether you drive. You decide independently whether to offer a Ride, accept a request, and on what terms, subject only to this Agreement and the Terms & Conditions — WayuGo does not set your schedule, assign you Riders, or tell you which routes to take.
Article 2 — Eligibility to act as a Captain
2.1
To activate a Captain profile you must:
(a)
be 18 or older and meet the general eligibility requirements in the Terms & Conditions, Article 3;
(b)
hold a full, valid UK driving licence appropriate to the vehicle you intend to drive;
(c)
hold motor insurance that is valid, current, and appropriate to carrying passengers or cost-sharing a journey in that vehicle, obtained and confirmed directly with your own insurer; and
(d)
ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and, where legally required, holds a current MOT certificate.
2.2
WAYUGO DOES NOT REQUEST, COLLECT, OR VERIFY ANY DOCUMENT EVIDENCING (b), (c), OR (d) ABOVE AS A ROUTINE PART OF SIGNUP. Meeting and maintaining eligibility under this Article is your sole and ongoing responsibility — activating a Captain profile is you confirming you meet it, not WayuGo confirming it for you. See Article 5.5 for the narrower, specific circumstances in which you may still be asked to produce these documents, and the Insurance Information document.
2.3
You must reconfirm to yourself that you continue to meet Article 2.1 every time you offer or accept a Ride, not only when you first activate a Captain profile — a licence that was valid last month, or insurance that's since lapsed, means you no longer meet this Article until you've put it right.
Article 3 — Vehicle and licensing information you provide
3.1
Vehicle registration, make, model, fuel type, and primary colour shown on your Captain profile are confirmed by you. WayuGo may prefill available vehicle and current MOT information from the DVSA MOT History API, but this does not prove ownership, permission to use the vehicle, insurance, or ongoing roadworthiness. You remain responsible for keeping the profile accurate and current, including updating it if you change vehicle.
3.2
You must not provide false, misleading, or another person's vehicle or licence information. Doing so is a material breach of this Agreement and the Terms & Conditions, Article 10, and may constitute fraud — both against WayuGo and against any Rider who relies on that information when deciding whether to travel with you.
Article 4 — Commercial terms
4.1
WayuGo does not process Fares and takes no commission on any Ride as at the effective date of this Agreement. Any Fare is a cost-sharing or hire figure you set, or negotiate directly with a Rider for a Day Trip, and is collected by you directly from the Rider, entirely outside the Platform.
4.2
If WayuGo introduces payment processing or a commission structure in the future, this Article will be updated and you will be notified in-app before it applies to you, consistent with the Terms & Conditions, Article 16.1.
4.3
You are solely responsible for declaring any income earned through cost-sharing or hire arrangements to HMRC as required by law, and for determining whether the tax exemption for shared-journey cost contributions applies to your circumstances.
4.4
You undertake that the Fare you request for a Ride does not exceed your actual, reasonably estimated cost of making that journey — fuel, wear, and a fair share of running costs — and that you do not generate a profit through the Platform. Cost-sharing that in substance amounts to a commercial, for-profit service is prohibited conduct under the Terms & Conditions, Article 10.1(d), and may require licensing WayuGo does not hold.
Article 5 — Conduct as a Captain
5.1
You must comply with the Highway Code and all applicable road traffic law at all times while carrying a Rider matched through the Platform.
5.2
You must never carry more Riders than your vehicle has working seatbelts for, and must never drive while impaired, fatigued, or otherwise unfit to do so.
5.3
You must drive to the pickup point and route agreed in-app, and treat Riders in line with the Community Guidelines.
5.4
You are solely responsible for your own conduct, driving, and the roadworthiness of your vehicle. WayuGo's role is limited to operating the Platform that matched you with a Rider — see the Terms & Conditions, Articles 11–13, for the full disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and indemnity that applies to your use of the Platform as a Captain.
5.5
On request from a Rider directly, or from WayuGo in connection with a report or investigation, you must be able to produce your driving licence, vehicle registration document, and insurance certificate. This does not change Article 2.2 — WayuGo does not routinely collect or check these documents at signup — but you must hold them and be able to show them when asked.
5.6
Wait a reasonable time — at least 15 minutes — at the agreed pickup point before treating a Rider as a no-show.
5.7
Only post a Ride you genuinely intend to make. Posting Rides you don't intend to run — to farm ratings, requests, or visibility on the Platform — is prohibited conduct under the Terms & Conditions, Article 10.1(c).
5.8
Be reachable on the phone number registered to your account, especially around the agreed pickup time.
Article 6 — Suspension and termination of Captain status
6.1
WayuGo may suspend or remove your Captain profile, separately from or in addition to any wider account action under the Terms & Conditions, Article 15, where we reasonably believe you no longer meet Article 2, have breached this Agreement, or where repeated credible reports raise a safety concern. This can happen without removing your ability to use WayuGo as a Rider, since the two are separate roles on the same account.
6.2
You may deactivate your Captain profile at any time from your account settings, or by contacting hello@mywayugo.com, without affecting your ability to use WayuGo as a Rider — stepping back from driving doesn't mean stepping back from the Platform altogether.
Article 7 — General
7.1
This Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales on the same terms as the Terms & Conditions, Article 16.2, including which courts have jurisdiction over a dispute that can't be resolved directly.
7.2
If any part of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply, consistent with the Terms & Conditions, Article 16.3, and this Agreement together with the Terms & Conditions is the entire agreement between you and WayuGo regarding your use of the Platform as a Captain.
Trust & Safety Policy
Effective 13 August 2026
WayuGo connects you with people you don't yet know for a shared journey. What follows is a plain account of what we check, what we don't, and what we'd recommend you check yourself before you ride, drive, or coordinate with a Buddy Group. We'd rather be direct about the limits of what WayuGo does than let a badge, a rating, or the simple fact of being matched give you false confidence. Capitalised terms carry the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions, Article 2.
Article 1 — Verification, stated plainly
1.1
Every WayuGo account completes Verification of an email address and a UK mobile number — confirmation that the person controls that inbox and that number, nothing more. That is the full extent of identity checking WayuGo currently performs on any User.
1.2
WayuGo does not run driving licence, insurance, vehicle-ownership, roadworthiness, or criminal-record (DBS) checks on any User, Captain or Rider. When requested during Captain setup, WayuGo may retrieve vehicle details and current MOT information for a registration from DVSA, but that point-in-time lookup is not a continuing safety or ownership check.
1.3
WayuGo does not perform any stronger verification than 1.1 and 1.2 describe, now or at any point while you're on the current version of the Platform. Nothing in this Article, or in any badge, label, or status shown in the app, should be read as WayuGo vouching for any User beyond the limited Verification in 1.1 — a completed profile, a high rating, or a long history of Rides on the Platform is not a form of verification, however it might feel.
1.4
RESPONSIBILITY. Checking a Captain's licence, vehicle, and insurance for yourself — or declining to travel with someone until you have — is your responsibility alone. WayuGo accepts no liability for that decision either way, whether you choose to check or choose not to. See the Terms & Conditions, Article 6, and the Insurance Information document for the fuller legal position behind this.
Article 2 — Before you travel
2.1
Check the other User's name, avatar, and rating in the app before you approve a request or accept a lift — a quick look costs you nothing and is the first, easiest layer of judgement available to you.
2.2
Ask to see a Captain's licence and insurance directly if you want that reassurance — WayuGo does not do this check for you (Article 1), but nothing stops you doing it yourself, and a genuine Captain should have no issue showing you. See the Service Agreement for Captains, Article 5.5, for the Captain's own obligation to produce these on request.
2.3
Check the vehicle's registration and colour match what is shown in-app before getting in — a mismatch is a reason to pause and confirm you're getting into the right vehicle before you do anything else.
2.4
Consider sharing your trip details — who you are travelling with and when — with someone you trust, the same way you would for a lift arranged by any other means.
2.5
Choose a well-lit, public pickup point where possible, rather than somewhere isolated, particularly for a first Ride with a new Captain.
Article 3 — During the ride
3.1
Wear a seatbelt for the whole journey, in every seat that has one.
3.2
Confirm the route roughly matches what was agreed in-app, and say something if it starts to diverge significantly without explanation.
3.3
If anything feels wrong, trust your instincts — you don't need a specific, articulable reason. You may end the arrangement and leave at any safe opportunity, and you are never obliged to continue a journey that does not feel safe, regardless of what's already been agreed or paid.
Article 4 — If you are driving
4.1
Only carry Riders you have approved in-app, and never more Riders than you have working seatbelts for — both are non-negotiable, not judgement calls to make in the moment.
4.2
Drive to the agreed pickup point and route, obey all road traffic law, and never drive while impaired, fatigued, or otherwise unfit to do so, for the whole journey.
4.3
You remain legally responsible for holding a valid licence, MOT, and appropriate insurance at all times, independent of whether WayuGo ever checks this. See the Service Agreement for Captains and the Insurance Information document for what that responsibility actually involves.
Article 5 — Visibility within Ride Groups and Buddy Groups
5.1
Being in the same Ride Group or Buddy Group means the other members can see your name, avatar, and any messages you post in that group — visibility that exists for as long as that group does, and stops when it ends or you leave it.
5.2
Live location is only ever shared with the other members of a specific, mutually-approved, currently-active Ride — never broadcast more widely, and never to a Buddy Group member who isn't also on that specific Ride with you. Buddy Group membership alone does not expose your separate Ride activity to the group.
5.3
See the Privacy Policy, Article 5, for the full detail on exactly what's shared and when, and consider carefully what you personally type into a group chat beyond what the Platform itself shows — that part is your own choice, not something WayuGo controls.
Article 6 — Reporting, emergencies, and enforcement
6.1
Reporting a concern. Use Report on the relevant Pool or Day Trip screen. The report goes privately to WayuGo, excludes the two accounts from future marketplace matches, and can be tracked in Profile > Feedback/report. It does not automatically cancel an active booking or remove a passenger; use the separate Exit, Cancel, or Remove control when needed. We review repeat or serious reports for account action under the Community Guidelines and the Terms & Conditions, Article 15 — moderation decisions are made by a person, not automatically.
6.2
Emergencies. WayuGo is not an emergency service and has no ability to dispatch help, monitor your journey in real time, or intervene while it's happening. In the UK, always call 999 for an emergency, or 101 for non-emergency police matters. Do not wait for an in-app response if you feel unsafe — act first, report afterwards; reporting is for after the fact, not instead of getting real help in the moment.
6.3
Zero tolerance. Harassment, discrimination, violence, and driving under the influence have no place on WayuGo and will result in account suspension or termination, regardless of who reports it or when, and regardless of how established or highly-rated the account otherwise is.
Article 7 — Who WayuGo is for, and WayuGo's role
7.1
WayuGo is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to hold an account, whether as a Rider, Captain, or Buddy Group member, and will close an account if we become aware it belongs to someone under that age.
7.2
WayuGo is a coordination tool that helps Users find and agree journeys together. It is not a safety guarantor for those journeys, for the reasons set out in Article 1 and in the Terms & Conditions — a Platform that only checks an email and a phone number cannot honestly promise more than that. We take reports seriously and act on them, but the practices in Articles 2–4 are steps only you can take in the moment — check more than you think you need to, every time, not only when something feels unusual.
Community Guidelines
Effective 13 August 2026
Every User on WayuGo — Rider and Captain alike — is expected to meet the standard below, and breaches are handled as described here. It sits alongside the Terms & Conditions, Article 10 (“Prohibited conduct”), and the Trust & Safety Policy. Capitalised terms have the meaning set out in the Terms & Conditions, Article 2.
Article 1 — The standard
1.1
Treat every User you interact with — before, during, and after a Ride — with the same basic courtesy and respect you would expect yourself.
1.2
Be honest in everything you tell another User or enter into the Platform: your identity, your vehicle, your availability, and the terms of any Fare.
1.3
Be reliable: honour a booking you have accepted, and communicate promptly if your plans change.
1.4
Content you post. Anything you write on the Platform — messages, a profile bio, a report — must:
(a)
be accurate, to the best of your knowledge;
(b)
be lawful, and not defamatory, obscene, or hateful;
(c)
not infringe another person's intellectual property or privacy;
(d)
not misrepresent your identity or who you're affiliated with; and
(e)
not imply WayuGo endorses you or what you're saying, without our written consent.
Article 2 — Not tolerated, under any circumstance
2.1
Harassment, threats, or abusive language directed at another User, whether in an in-app message, a rating comment, or any other interaction the Platform enables.
2.2
Discrimination on the basis of a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, including race, religion, sex, disability, age, or sexual orientation — including declining a Ride, request, or Buddy connection on that basis.
2.3
Violence, or the threat of violence, of any kind, against another User or anyone else.
2.4
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or otherwise while unfit to drive, at any point while carrying a Rider matched through the Platform.
2.5
Sexual harassment or unwanted contact of any kind, including unwelcome comments, contact, or conduct during or around a Ride.
2.6
Fraud, including fabricated ratings, impersonation, or false vehicle or licence information provided to WayuGo or to another User.
Article 3 — Reporting and enforcement
3.1
Report a concern directly from a User's profile row at any time — see the Trust & Safety Policy, Article 6.1, for exactly how. You don't need to wait until a Ride has finished, and you don't need certainty, just a genuine concern.
3.2
Article 2 conduct results in immediate account suspension pending review, and typically in permanent termination, regardless of who reports it or when, under the Terms & Conditions, Article 15. We treat Article 2 conduct as serious enough to act on straight away, not to leave pending while a fuller investigation runs.
3.3
Other breaches of Article 1 — the general standard, rather than the zero-tolerance list — are reviewed case by case and may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or termination depending on severity and history, including whether it's a first instance or part of a pattern.
3.4
If you believe a decision made about your account was wrong, see the Complaints Procedure, which sets out how that decision gets reviewed and by when you can expect a response.
Insurance Information
Effective 13 August 2026
WayuGo does not insure anyone. That single fact is the most important thing in this document — everything below is really just working through its practical consequences for Riders and Captains, in plain terms rather than legal abstraction. Read it alongside the Terms & Conditions, Article 6, and the Service Agreement for Captains, Article 2, which cover related ground from the angle of verification rather than insurance specifically. Defined terms below follow the Terms & Conditions, Article 2.
Article 1 — WayuGo does not provide or arrange insurance
1.1
WayuGo does not hold, provide, arrange, or contribute to any motor insurance policy covering any Ride, Captain, vehicle, or Rider — there is no WayuGo insurance product, umbrella policy, or arrangement with an insurer standing behind any journey taken through the Platform.
1.2
No insurance premium, fee, or contribution is collected by WayuGo from any User for any purpose connected to insurance, directly or indirectly. This isn't a service WayuGo offers at a price — it's a service WayuGo doesn't offer at all.
Article 2 — The Captain's responsibility
2.1
Every Captain is solely responsible for holding motor insurance that is valid, current, and appropriate to carrying passengers or cost-sharing a journey in the vehicle they use, obtained directly from their own insurer — not from WayuGo, and not through any product WayuGo facilitates.
2.2
Standard UK motor insurance (“social, domestic and pleasure” cover) does not always extend to carrying passengers for cost-sharing or hire. It is the Captain's responsibility, not WayuGo's, to confirm with their own insurer that their specific policy covers the specific use they intend to make of their vehicle on WayuGo before offering any Ride — this is worth checking even if you've held the same policy for years, since cost-sharing use isn't always something a standard policy anticipates.
2.3
WayuGo does not request, collect, review, or verify any insurance document from any Captain at signup, and has no automated or manual process that checks this at any point during account creation. See the Service Agreement for Captains, Article 5.5, for the narrower circumstances — a Rider's direct request, or a WayuGo investigation into a report — in which a Captain may still be asked to produce it.
Article 3 — The Rider's position
3.1
A Rider travelling on WayuGo relies entirely on the Captain's own insurance arrangements. WayuGo has no ability to confirm those arrangements exist or are adequate, and gives no assurance that they do — not because we're withholding that assurance, but because we genuinely have no visibility into it at all.
3.2
If you are a Rider and would like reassurance before travelling, the Trust & Safety Policy, Article 2.2, describes how to ask a Captain to show you their insurance directly — this is a real, practical step available to you, not a formality.
Article 4 — No liability
4.1
WayuGo accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from a Captain's insurance being absent, inadequate, or invalid for the journey undertaken, however that inadequacy came about. This Article should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Articles 11–13, which set out the fuller disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability that this Article sits within.
Security Policy
Effective 13 August 2026
Protecting the Platform is a shared job — here is what WayuGo does on its side, and what's on you. Neither half works without the other: our infrastructure measures don't protect an account whose passcode is shared, and your own care doesn't protect data in transit if we haven't encrypted it properly. This Policy supplements the Privacy Policy, Article 8.2. As throughout this document set, capitalised terms follow the Terms & Conditions, Article 2.
Article 1 — How we protect the Platform
1.1
Transport security. All network traffic between the app and our backend infrastructure is encrypted in transit, so data moving between your device and our servers can't be read by anyone intercepting it along the way.
1.2
Infrastructure hardening. Our backend infrastructure is access-controlled, monitored, and kept current with security updates, including rate-limiting on authentication endpoints and automated blocking of repeated unauthorised access attempts — measures aimed specifically at making automated attacks against accounts impractical, not just theoretically harder.
1.3
Least-privilege access. Only the minimum data necessary for a given feature is collected or retained, consistent with the Privacy Policy, Article 3 — a feature that doesn't need a piece of data doesn't get access to it, even internally.
Article 2 — Protecting your account
2.1
Your account is protected by a PIN or Face ID enrolment on your own device. Keep both confidential, and keep your device's own passcode confidential — anyone with access to an unlocked, signed-in device may be able to act as you, including seeing your messages, your Ride history, and your live location if you're an active Captain.
2.2
Tell us immediately at hello@mywayugo.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account, so we can help you secure it — the sooner we know, the less an unauthorised person can do with that access.
Article 3 — No guarantee of absolute security
3.1
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure — this is true of every online service, not a WayuGo-specific caveat. While we take the measures described in Article 1, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and accept no liability beyond what is set out in the Terms & Conditions, Articles 11–13.
Article 4 — Reporting a security concern
4.1
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in the Platform, report it to hello@mywayugo.com rather than disclosing it publicly — public disclosure before a fix is in place puts every User at risk, not just the ones who might exploit it. We will acknowledge genuine reports and take appropriate action.
Complaints Procedure
Effective 13 August 2026
Use this Procedure to complain about WayuGo itself — a decision we made about your account, a bug that affected you, or how the Platform is run generally. It is not the process for reporting another User; see the Trust & Safety Policy, Article 6.1, for that instead — reporting a User and complaining about WayuGo are handled through different channels because they need different kinds of review. Capitalised terms used here are defined in the Terms & Conditions, Article 2.
Article 1 — How to complain
1.1
Email hello@mywayugo.com with a description of your complaint, including your account details and, where relevant, dates and any other User or Ride involved — the more specific you can be, the faster we can look into it properly rather than asking follow-up questions first.
1.2
If your complaint concerns how your personal data has been handled, say so in the subject or first line so it reaches whoever specifically handles data protection matters.
Article 2 — What happens next
2.1
We aim to acknowledge every complaint within 5 working days, so you know it's been received and is being looked at.
2.2
We aim to provide a substantive response within 20 working days of acknowledgement. Where a complaint is complex — for example, where it requires us to review a Ride's full history or speak to other Users involved — we will tell you if more time is needed and why, rather than let the deadline pass without explanation.
2.3
If your complaint concerns an account suspension or termination under the Terms & Conditions, Article 15, we will review the decision, including any report or evidence that led to it, and confirm whether it stands or is reversed — this is a genuine re-review by someone looking at the original decision afresh, not a rubber stamp of it.
Article 3 — If you remain unsatisfied
3.1
If your complaint concerns data protection and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) at any time — see the Privacy Policy, Article 10.7.
3.2
For any other unresolved complaint, the dispute resolution position in the Terms & Conditions, Article 16.2, applies.
Accessibility Statement
Effective 13 August 2026
WayuGo is a native mobile app, and we want it to work well with the accessibility features each platform it runs on already provides. This statement explains what we currently support and how to tell us if something isn't working for you. As at the effective date above, WayuGo is available on iOS; the specifics below describe iOS support, and the same standard will apply on any other platform WayuGo launches on, with that platform's own equivalents.
Article 1 — What we support
1.1
On iOS, WayuGo supports the system-wide Dynamic Type setting, so text resizes with your device's text-size setting — the equivalent system-level text-scaling support will apply on any other platform WayuGo supports.
1.2
WayuGo respects your device's Reduce Motion setting where an animation is decorative rather than functional.
1.3
Interactive elements use standard native controls — buttons, text fields, pickers — wherever possible, which carry built-in screen-reader support (VoiceOver on iOS) directly from the operating system rather than a custom-built equivalent.
Article 2 — What we're working towards
2.1
We're building against each platform's own native accessibility guidelines — Apple's Accessibility guidelines on iOS — rather than a web standard like WCAG, since WayuGo is a native app on every platform it runs on, not a website.
2.2
WayuGo has not yet undergone a full accessibility audit against that standard. Where a screen hasn't been specifically checked with VoiceOver or other assistive technology, we can't yet guarantee it works well with it — we would rather say so than overstate our current support.
Article 3 — Feedback
3.1
If you hit an accessibility barrier using WayuGo, tell us at hello@mywayugo.com — what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using.
3.2
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days, consistent with the Complaints Procedure, Article 2.1, and treat them as a priority.
